 Serial no. 39615, 12/.577/450 MH cal., 30 inch solid rib bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Blued barrels signed “SOLE AGENT FOR SOUTH AFRICA:” and “R. MULLER-CAPE TOWN.” in gold on the shotgun barrel, solid matte rib singed
“IMMAN MEFFERT, SUHL,” beaded blade front sight on ramp base, express rear sight, 2 3/4 inch chamber, full choke, and
original German proofs, as well as London blackpowder reproofs dated 2012 for the shotgun barrel. Casehardened action with doll’s head rib extension featuring various simple border engravings, German proofs, and set rifle trigger. Round knob pistol grip stock with multi-point checkering, forearm hardware
and trigger guard engraved to match, and checkered horn buttplate.
CONDITION: Fine. The barrels retain 50% original blue finish with smooth gray patina on the balance and limited pitting under the forearm. The action retains some original case colors in and around the protected areas. There is a crack in the left fence. The wood is fine with a couple small
chips on the forearm, minor dings and scratches, some blemishes in the checkering and repaired buttplate. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 4,750 - 6,500

Engraved F. Thiele Boxlock Cape Gun with Case - Serial no. 847.234.27., 16/8.8mm gauge, 27 inch solid rib bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Blued steel barrels with dovetail blade front sight and flip up 100 yard sights on the matted solid rib which is marked “F. THIELE IN TEPLITZ”, 2 1/2 inch chamber for the shotgun barrel, choke constriction measured at .030 inches, and rifle barrel marked “8.8”. The casehardened boxlock action features attractive scroll engraving with line borders, double triggers, and automatic tang mounted safety switch. Nicely figured, multi-point checkered splinter forend with engraved fittings and rotary latch and pistol grip stock with cheekpiece, horn grip cap, and serrated horn buttplate. Includes a William Evans
leather bound takedown case with “P.T.C.” Length of pull 13 7/8 inches. CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 98% professionally reapplied blue on the barrels, 70% original case colors, and light spotting and handling evidence. The wood is very good with numerous dings and scratches and crisp checkering. The case is very good with moderate wear. Mechanically excellent. Provenance: The Buckstix Collection. LOT 412 Factory Engraved French Bolt Action Volley Rifle in 22 WRF. - Serial no. 38012, 22 WRF cal., 26 inch round bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Offered here is an unusual bolt action volley rifle by Manufacture d’armes de Saint-Étienne. A single bolt with three fixed firing pins operates three separate chambers in .22 WRF. If all three barrels are chambered, than all three chambers will fire when the action is cycled. This model bears a similar resemblance to the French Lebel service rifle. The chamber, bolt sleeve, underside of frame, and trigger guard are decorated with fine floral leaf scroll engraving. Both sides of the engraved frame are decorated with an attractive birds, vine and leaf pattern on a shaded background. The bolt sleeve is marked “MANUFACTURE FRANCAISE/D’ARMES ET CYCLES/DE SAINT-ETIENNE” and “CARBINE/
BUFFALO/MITRAILLE.” Blade front sight, three leaf rear sight, cleaning rod, nicely figured and checkered near full length stock, and matching serial numbers on the frame, both barrel bands, bolt and stock.
CONDITION: Very fine. The barrel retains 70% original blue finish with thinning to brown on the balance. 60% original case colors remain on the action. The engraving is crisp. The wood is fine with some minor dings and scratches and crisp checkering overall. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 2,000 - 3,000
LOT 413 Unique Belgian Defourney & Fils Three Trigger Drilling - Serial no. 12240, 12/8mm gauge, 25 1/2 inch solid rib bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Beaded blade front and manual flip up rear notch sight marked for 150 yards with platinum sighting line, 2 3/4 inch chambers, ejector on the rifle barrel, standard Belgian proofs on the underside with “8x60” and “7.8” and “12-70” bore and chamber markings, and modified/full chokes. Casehardened action and lock plates with light decorative engraving with “BELGIQUE” marked on the left lock, and a unique three trigger design. Checkered forearm with Anson style push rod latch and nicely figured pistol grip stock with vented White Line recoil pad. Length of pull is 13 3/4 inches, weight 8 lbs. 2 oz.. CONDITION: Fine. The barrels have 85% of the slightly plum hued refinished blue with some mild edge wear, and small surface scratches. The action and locks have a mostly gray patina with 40% original muted case colors and some light spotting. The wood is also fine with some visible oxidation and light pitting on the forearm knuckle, and freshened checkering with rubbed oil finish on the buttstock, and newer recoil pad. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 1,600 - 2,500
