inches; choke constriction .017/.020 inches; minimum wall thickness .033/.035 inches; 1 7/16 inch drop at comb; 2 inch drop at heel; 14 1/4 inch length of pull; weight 4 lbs 11 oz.
CONDITION: Very good as professionally refurbished. The barrels retain 99% reblued finish with clear signature and some slight muzzle rub. Action with strong traces of original casehardened finish with clear engraving, the floorplate rubbed bright. Toplever retaining some original blued finish, trigger guard with traces of blued finish. Stock reoiled, multi-point checkering generally well-defined, some light storage and handling marks and blemishes throughout including to the right side of the grip checkering. The case is very good with mild wear. Mechanically excellent.

locks each signed “McCRIRICK & SONS”. Furniture comprising blued trigger guard and bright heel and toe plates. Fine bouquet and scroll engraving throughout. Well-figured straight hand stock including 1 1/4 inch expert figured wood extension, with dark horn drop points and checkered panels to the grip and forearm, the latter with Anson push button release, and the underside of the butt inset with gold oval escutcheon engraved with a capercaillie. Stock measurements: 1 9/16 inch drop at comb; 2 3/8 inch drop at heel; 15 5/16 inch length of pull; weight 6 lbs 9 oz.
CONDITION: Very fine with unique and attractive barrels. The barrels retain nearly all of the reblued and rebrowned finish with crisp engraving at the breech ends and unblemished gold inlay. Action retains traces of original casehardened finish on the water table, the action and locks a light grey slightly discolored patina with crisp engraving. Toplever and trigger guard retaining nearly all of the reblued finish. Stock refinished with well- defined multi-point checkering and some scattered handling and storage marks and bruises throughout. Mechanically excellent.

Very Rare Engraved Thomas Bland & Sons .360 Bore Double Barrel Boxlock Ejector Shotgun
- Serial no. 17897, 360 gauge, 28 inch solid rib bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. The makers have kindly confirmed that this
diminutive shotgun was sold to a Mr. Fenwick in 1927. With blued barrels with concave rib signed “THOMAS BLAND & SONS. 4 & 5 KING WILLIAM STREET. STRAND. LONDON” and with large bead sight. The underside of the barrels struck with Birmingham nitro proof marks, chambers proved at 1 3/4 inch. Casehardened action signed “THOMAS BLAND & SONS” on each side, with blued toplever, automatic safety, blued floorplate and blued trigger guard. With light border and scroll engraving throughout. Well figured straight hand stock with grooved dark horn buttplate and checkered panels to the grip and forearm, the latter with Anson push button release, and the underside of the butt inset with blank silver oval initial escutcheon. Stock measurements: 1 7/16 inch drop at comb; 2 3/8 inch drop at heel; 14 inch length of pull; cast-off; weight 4 lbs 10 oz.
CONDITION: Fine with light engraving which was typical of many Bland guns. The barrels retain nearly
all of the reblued finish with crisp signature. Action with 40% original casehardened finish with clear engraving, the remainder a lightly discolored
patina. Toplever retaining nearly all of the reblued finish, floorplate and trigger guard each with traces of original blued finish. Stock reoiled with well-defined multipoint checkering, scattered light storage and handling marks and blemishes throughout. Mechanically excellent. Provenance: The Malcolm King Collection.
