Documented Engraved J. T. Haugh Falling Block Single Shot Dangerous Game Rifle in .470 Nitro Express - NSN, 470 Nitro
Express cal., 26 inch round bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Hooded, ramped, beaded blade front sight and four leaf (one standing, three folding) rear sight with gold inlaid center lines on the raised rear quarter rib, and barrel marked “J. T. HAUGH - MILAN, IND.” ahead of
the rib and “470-Nitro Express” at the rear. The casehardened falling block action displays fine floral scroll engraving with scroll borders. The engraving extends to the breechblock, lever, and tangs. The rifle features a tang mounted rotary safety and is built as a takedown rifle with the use of the forend mounted takedown button. Beautifully figured, multi-point checkered forend with engraved fitting and a contrasting tip and pistol grip stock with engraved, casehardened grip cap, cheekpiece, blank inscription oval, and
leather wrapped recoil pad. The handsome rifle was featured in “Fine Guns” by John Andrew Yerger and Steve Barnett, and this rifle definitely lives up to that name. The length of pull is 14 inches. The weight is 8 lbs 10 oz.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue and casehardened finishes, minor handling evidence, a few minor marks in the wood, and sharp checkering on the wood. Mechanically excellent.

Exhibition Quality Engraved Gold Inlaid Pre-World War II Belgian Browning Superposed Shotgun - Serial no. 4684, 12 gauge, 32 inch vent rib bbl., blue finish, highly figured checkered walnut stock. Manufactured in 1933 and subsequently masterfully engraved and gold inlaid by an unknown artisan in the style of art deco. High visibility orange bead
          front and white bead mid sights on the matte vent rib barrels with 2 3/4 inch chambers, automatic ejectors, standard Belgian proofs, and modified/full chokes. The action is a fine polished blue with a
Miller single trigger and fine gold inlaid line engraving surrounding
semi-relief gold inlaid birds on the sides, fine punch dot texture on top of the receiver, and an eagle and shield design
on the trigger guard. With an exceptionally well figured fancy scroll bordered checkered pistol grip stock and forearm with matching engraved and gold inlaid fittings, grip cap with brass inscription plate marked around the edge “BRENT
UMBERGER/MASTER STOCKMAKER”, and Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad. Barrel and stock measurements are: bore
diameter at 9 inches from breech .729/.727; minimum wall thickness .024/.024; drop at comb 1 3/8 inches; drop at heel 1 3/8 inches; length of pull 14 1/4 inches; weight 8 lbs. 6.6 oz. CONDITION: Excellent as exhibition quality embellished and finished with 99% of the factory quality blue finish remaining on the barrels, slightly softened barrel markings, and some small marks on the lower barrel from forearm movement. The action shows a few very minor surface scratches, and some very light edge wear is visible on the trigger guard. The attractive wood is very fine with crisp checkering, bold, attractive figure, and just a few very small scattered dings. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 9,500 - 14,000
