Desirable Winchester Deluxe Model 1886 Lightweight Lever Action Takedown Rifle - Serial no. 146393, 33 WCF cal., 24 inch round lightweight bbl., blue finish, highly figured checkered walnut stock. Manufactured in 1908 with standard markings including Winchester factory oval proofs on the barrel and receiver at the breech, and “nickel steel” marking on the left of the barrel. The left side of the lower tang is marked “509 778 XXX” and a partial “REFINISHED” marking, while the mainspring lug is marked “RF”. “509” is repeated in the stock inlet twice, once stamped over
“778” which was likely done when the rifle was refinished by the
factory. It is fitted with Lyman beaded blade front, elevation adjustable notch rear, and tang
mounted peep sights, half magazine, and lightweight barrel. It is mounted with a finely figured, “H” pattern checkered forearm and pistol grip stock with a hard rubber shotgun buttplate. CONDITION: Very fine, retains 98% plus of the factory refinished blue and 60% of the case colors with the balance mostly faded to a smooth grey patina, primarily on the lever and hammer. The wood is very fine a few hairline cracks in the wrist, some light
crazing throughout, and mostly crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 4,500 - 6,500

Attractive Documented Special Order Winchester Semi- Deluxe Model 1894 Lever Action Rifle with Factory Letter - Serial no. 196939,
32 W.S. cal., 26 inch part octagon bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1904
with the standard two-line address and patent marking
on the upper barrel flat, two-line nickel steel marking on the upper left flat, and caliber marking at the breech. The three line model, trademark, and patent date marking is on
the upper tang. The left side of the lower tang is marked “17815 CF”, and the butt of the correct replacement stock
is marked “94/15684”. It is fitted with German silver blade front and elevation adjustable .32
Smokeless rear sights. Mounted with a non-matching assembly number, “I” pattern checkered, pistol grip stock with a hard rubber grip cap and crescent buttplate. The included factory letter confirms the current configuration when received at the warehouse on 19 October 1903 and shipment two days later to order number 205041.
CONDITION: Very fine, retains 85% plus of the original blue finish, 50% plus of the vibrant original case colors, and 75% plus of the original niter blue on the loading gate with the balance having thinned to a smooth grey patina and some scattered minor handling marks. The barrel has numerous patches of
dark oxidation visible on the front portion, mostly near the muzzle. The replacement wood is also very fine with some scattered minor dings and scratches, a
minor chip in the top left edge of the forearm, and well-defined checkering. Mechanically excellent.

Documented Antique Winchester Deluxe Model 1895 Lever Action Rifle with Factory Letter - Serial no. 6980, 30 U.S. cal., 26 inch round bbl., blue finish, highly figured checkered walnut stock. Manufactured in 1898 with the standard two-line address and patent dates on the left of the receiver, two-line nickel steel marking on the upper left of the barrel, caliber marking at the breech, trademark and model designation on the upper tang, and serial number on the lower tang. It is fitted with pinned German silver blade front, Marble rear dovetail
filler, and a special order receiver mounted Lyman peep sight. Mounted with a finely figured checkered Schnabel tip forearm with contrasting insert and a straight grip stock with a crescent buttplate. The included factory letter lists the
rifle with a 26 inch barrel, fancy checkered stock, Lyman receiver and a flat sporting rear target sight (rear now replaced with
Marble dovetail filler) when received at the warehouse on 12 April 1898 and shipped the same day to order number 6691.
CONDITION: Fine, retains 50% plus of the original blue finish with the balance having thinned to a smooth grey patina and a series of horizontal
scratches on the receiver. The refinished wood is very good with hairline cracks near the tip of the forearm and toe which also has a small repairs chip, some scattered minor scratches and dings, and well-defined checkering. Mechanically excellent.
