Outstanding Colt Model 1902
Military Semi-Automatic
Pistol - Serial no. 41003, 38
Colt auto cal., 6 inch round bbl.,
blue finish, hard rubber grips.
Manufactured in 1919, this Military Model of 1902 pistol exhibits the mid- production high polish blue finish and spurred hammer which was just beginning to be phased in, and was standard by approximately serial number 37000. The
left side of the slide is marked with the two-line patent date and two-line address
arranged in two blocks with the Rampant Colt behind the serrations. The right side of the slide
has the two-line caliber marking, “AUTOMATIC COLT/CALIBRE 38 RIMLESS SMOKELESS”. The left side
of the frame has the serial number and “VP” and “1” on the left of the trigger guard. It is fitted with blade and rounded top notch sights, a lanyard swivel on the lower left of the grip frame, checkered hard rubber grips with Rampant Colts and “COLT” banners, and a full blue magazine marked “CAL. 38/COLT” on the base.
CONDITION: Excellent, retains 97% plus of the original high polish blue finish and 97% vibrant case colors on the hammer with some scattered light scratches and very light edge wear, primarily at the front of the slide and bottom rear grip strap. The grips are also excellent with a few scattered light handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.

Desirable Colt Model 1905 Military
Semi-Automatic Pistol with Factory
Letter - Serial no. 3750, 45 ACP cal.,
5 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut
grips. Manufactured in 1909, this is one
of only 6,210 Colt “Military Model of 1905” pistols manufactured over a period
of six years. These pistols were the first production Colt automatic chambered
for the legendary .45 ACP cartridge. The left side of the slide is marked with the
two-line, two-block patent dates and address, with the circled Rampant Colt
behind the serrations. The left side of the slide is marked “AUTOMATIC COLT/
CALIBRE 45 RIMLESS SMOKELESS”. The left side of the frame is marked with the
serial number, and the left of the trigger guard has a “VP” proof and “6”. It has
rounded blade front and rounded top notch rear sights and the later spur-type
checkered hammer. It is fitted with a pair of diamond pattern checkered grips
and an unmarked full blue magazine. The included factory letter confirms
the current configuration and lists shipment to John B. Varick Company in
Manchester, New Hampshire on 5 May 1909.
CONDITION: Very good, retains 40% plus of the original blue finish, 25%
original case colors, and 30% of the original niter blue with the balance having
thinned to a smooth grey patina and some minor tool marks around the screw
on the left rear of the frame. The grips are also very good with some scattered light handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.

Colt Government Model
Semi-Automatic Pistol - Serial
no. C116437, 45 ACP cal., 5 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut grips.
Manufactured in 1919. Blade front and “U” notch rear sights on slide with
the two line, two block address and patent dates split with the Rampant
Colt on the left side, “COLT AUTOMATIC/CALIBRE 45” on the right ahead of
the ejector port. Standard markings on the right side of the frame, with “VP” and “5”
on the left side of the trigger guard. Wide checkered hammer, long smooth trigger, short grip safety, checkered slide stop, thumb safety and magazine catch, and smooth flat mainspring housing with lanyard ring. Grips are checkered walnut with diamond patterns, with a full blue “L” marked magazine and an “S” marked barrel lug.
CONDITION: Fine, with 75% plus of the original blue finish, showing a mixed patina and mild spotting on the grip straps, bright edge wear, mild takedown lines and handling marks. The grips are very good, with a few dents and scuffs. Mechanically excellent.

Pre-World War II Colt Model 1903 Pocket Hammerless Semi- Automatic Pistol with Box - Serial no. 498426, 32 ACP cal.,
3 3/4 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. Manufactured
in 1930 with the standard two-line address/patent dates and Rampant Colt on the left of the slide and the caliber markings on the right. Trigger guard marked “1/VP” and
“51”, the serial number on the left of the frame, and standard features. Includes
the original Colt
maroon box and
bore brush.
CONDITION: Near
excellent, retains
95% of the original blue finish with
a spot of brown touch up visible on
the slide, ahead of the ejection port.
Light edge wear, a few scattered
light handling marks, and some
light speckling visible on the grip
straps. The grips are excellent with a few scattered light blemishes in the overall crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The box is fine with some light wear, primarily on the corners.

Pre-World War II Colt Super .38 Semi-
Automatic Pistol - Serial no. 7419, 38 super auto
cal., 5 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut grips.
Manufactured in 1930, these Super .38 pistols were first shown to
the public at the August 1928 Camp Perry National Matches and were
available for purchase by the start of 1929. The left side of the matching
number slide is marked with the two-line address and patent dates
while the right side bears the caliber marking along with the Rampant
Colt. The serial number is on the right of the frame, the left of the trigger
guard is marked “1” over “VP”, and the right of the trigger guard is marked
“60”. Fitted with blade and notch rear sights, wide checkered hammer, long
grip safety, arched checkered mainspring housing, checkered walnut grips,
and a two-tone .38 Super Auto magazine.
CONDITION: Very fine, retains 70% plus of the original blue finish with the balance
having thinned to a mostly smooth grey patina, primarily on edges and the grip straps and some scattered light scratches on top of the slide. The grips are also very fine with a few scattered dings and minor blemishes and crisp checkering overall. Mechanically excellent.
