Documented Historic Cased Pair of Samuel Colt Presentation Inscribed Colt Model 1860 Army Percussion Revolvers Presented to Colonel James Cameron, Brother of Secretary of War Simon Cameron and a Union Hero Killed at the First Battle of Bull Run, Accompanied by a Large Quantity of Documents and Family Heirlooms
-A) Colt Model 1860 Army Revolver - Serial no. 4257, 44 cal., 8 inch round bbl., blue/ casehardened/silver finish, walnut grips. These historic revolvers are each inscribed “Col. James Cameron/with Compliments of Col. Colt” on the back straps. The other markings are standard, including all matching visible serial numbers. They are finished with blue on the barrels and cylinders, silver plating on the grip frames, and case colors on the loading levers, frames, and hammers. Each is fitted with a varnished walnut grip, and the frames and back straps are cut for use with shoulder stocks.
