Attractive Winchester Model 92 Lever Action Saddle Ring Carbine - Serial no. 910833, 25-20 WCF cal., 20 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1922. The barrel is fitted with a pinned blade front sight and a ladder
rear sight. There are standard Winchester markings
including the Winchester factory oval proof on the barrel and receiver at the breech, a saddle ring mounted on the left side
of the receiver and nicely figure carbine stock. Includes a generic case.
CONDITION: Exceptionally fine, retaining 90% plus original blue finish with the balance smooth brown or gray patina along the high edges. The magazine tube ring and forward right side of receiver have been touched up with artificial brown. The revarnished stock and forend are very fine with a few minor handling marks. Mechanically excellent.

Winchester Repeating Arms Co. Henry R. Poore “Bear Dogs” Advertising Print with Desirable Lettered Frame - This print was used in a variety of Winchester advertisements and depicts a barn setting with white “bear dogs” in the foreground and two large brown dogs that may be bloodhounds in the background. These dogs were reportedly part of the Winchester family hunting pack. The lower left corner is signed by the artist “H. R. Poore/ Philadelphia”. The original Winchester walnut frame is marked with “WINCHESTER” across the
op, Winchester W’s in all four corners, three shot shells descending on both sides, and “RIFLES. SHOTGUNS FOR SALE HERE and AMMUNITION” across the bottom. The frame measures approximately 41 inches in width and 31 3/4 inches in height overall, with the observable area of the print measuring approximately 34 3/4 inches in width and 25 3/8 inches in height. CONDITION: Fine, showing rich color, a few scattered minor chips and otherwise minimal wear. The frame is also fine with a sliver absent from the upper left edge, some scattered minor handling/storage marks, and very fine color on the stenciled designs with minimal fading. A very desirable piece of Winchester advertising to complete your gun room or office! Provenance: The Doug Ellison Collection.
