Elaborately Engraved and Gold Inlaid Winchester Model 70 Bolt Action Rifle in .458 with Case - Serial no. 519876, 458 cal., 22 inch part octagon bbl., blue/gold finish, walnut stock. White beaded blade front sight with two leaf (one standing one folding) express style
rear sight with gold center line, single gold band at the muzzle with a wedge of floral scroll, gold inlaid “.458” caliber marking
and serial number, and 4 1/2 inches of floral scroll engraving at the breech extending toward the muzzle. Full coverage floral scroll engraving on the action with matching engraving on the
floorplate, bottom metal, and triggerguard surrounding a gold inlaid motif of Lady Justice holding the sword and scales in front of a court like building on the floorplate. Highly figured pistol grip stock with ebony forend tip, fancy fluer-de-lis checkering, engraved blue steel grip cap with gold “M”, cheekpiece, and rubber recoil pad. Includes a fitted leather case and four leather bullet wallets. CONDITION: Very fine as professionally custom embellished, retaining 99% blue and gold finishes with limited handling evidence. The wood is very fine with a few light dings and scratches and sharp checkering. The case is very fine with light wear. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 5,500 - 8,500
LOT 1455 Engraved, Gold Inlaid, Tommy Kaye Signed Winchester Model 70 Bolt Action Rifle with Scope - Serial no. 428796, 280 Rem cal., 22 inch round bbl., blue/gold/coin finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1958 and subsequently embellished by Master Engraver Tommy Kaye. The G. R. Douglas barrel features a single gold band at the muzzle, floral scrollwork near the breech, and two gold bands at the breech. The coin finished receiver and scope bases show attractive scroll and border work and the bottom metal and floorplate display floral scroll surrounding a scene of two rams on the mountainside and a single ram on the triggerguard. The underside is signed “KAYE”. Highly figured, fluer-de-lis checkered stock with contrasting forend tip, coin finished and engraved grip cap, cheekpiece, and Pachmayr recoil pad. Includes a Leupold M8-6X scope. CONDITION: Excellent as professionally embellished by Master Engraver Tommy Kaye, retaining 99% blue, gold, and coin finishes, some oil staining on the coin receiver, and minor handling evidence. The wood is also excellent with limited handling evidence and sharp checkering. The scope optics are sharp. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 4,000 - 6,000

Engraved Gold Inlaid Paul Jaeger Custom Mauser Bolt Action Rifle - Serial no. 5145, 243 Win cal., 24 inch round bbl., blue/gold finish, walnut stock. Built on a Fabrique Nationale Mauser 98 action, barrel marked “PAUL JAEGER-JENKINTOWN, PA.”, caliber marking on left side of the barrel ahead of the chamber, and Redfield scope base. The floorplate is engraved with beautiful oak leaf designs and gold line borders surrounding a gold inlaid bear at the center. Nicely figured, multi-point checkered pistol grip stock with contrasting forend tip,
matching engraved grip cap, inscription oval marked “CH”, and Pachmayr rubber buttplate. CONDITION: Excellent as professionally built by Paul Jaeger, retaining 99% original blue finish with minor handling evidence. The wood is very fine with a few minor scratches and sharp checkering.
