Engraved Winchester 20 Gauge
Model 21 Double Barrel Shotgun - Serial no. 5270, 20 gauge, 26
inch solid rib bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Blued Winchester Proof Steel
barrels with dual bead (red front, steel mid) sights on the matted, concave solid rib, standard Winchester markings, a 1 3/4 inch wedge of floral scroll at either breech, chokes marked “WS-1”/”WS-2”, and 2 3/4 inch chambers with automatic ejectors. The
blued boxlock action displays #5 “Chrysler Pattern” non-factory custom engraving consisting of near full coverage
floral scrollwork. The gun features a single selective trigger and tang mounted manual
safety switch with gold inlaid “SAFE”. Beautifully figured, fancy checkered beavertail forend with engraved fittings including the rotary latch release and straight grip stock with red
rubber Pachmayr recoil pad. Barrel and stock measurements (R/L): bore diameter nine inches from the breech .615/.615 inches; choke constriction .006/.007 inches; minimum wall thickness
.031/.031 inches; 1 1/2 inch drop at comb; 2 inch drop at heel; 14 inch length of pull; weight 6 lbs 10 oz. CONDITION: Very fine as custom refurbished, retaining 99% blue, plum hue on the action, and minor handling evidence. The replacement perch belly stock and forend are very fine with scattered light dings scratches and sharp checkering. Mechanically excellent.

Rare and Desirable Pre-World War II Winchester Model
42 Deluxe Skeet Style Slide Action Shotgun - Serial no. 39845, 410 gauge, 28 inch solid rib bbl.,
blue finish, highly figured checkered walnut stock. Manufactured in 1938. Single steel bead sight on the solid rib barrel with standard markings, 2 1/2 inch chamber, Winchester “WP” proofs on the barrel and receiver at the breech, and “SKEET” marked choke. Fancy figured double diamond checkered extension slide handle and pistol grip stock with hard rubber grip cap and checkered plastic Winchester buttplate. Length of pull is 13 3/4 inches.
CONDITION: Very fine with 85% original blue remaining, some takedown and slide retraction
marks on the barrel, slightly light serial number marking on receiver, and a small patch of
mild brown patina on the left breech end of the rib. The wood is also very fine with crisp
checkering, scattered small dings and scratches, and attractive figure. Mechanically excellent.
