Ken Hurst Master Game Scene Engraved and Gold Inlaid Grulla 28 Gauge Sidelock Double Barrel Shotgun Two Barrel Set with Case - Serial no. 27831, 28 gauge, 27 1/8 inch solid rib bbl., blue/coin finish, walnut stock. Blued steel barrels with single steel bead sight on the
matted, concave solid rib which is marked with a gold “1” at the base, import mark on the right barrel,
single band of engraving at either breech, standard Spanish proofs, and 70 mm (2 3/4 inch) chambers with automatic ejectors. The coin finished sidelock action displays beautiful scrollwork surrounding gold inlaid “LELAND” markings
on either side, a pointer flushing a pair of quail in a field scene on the right, a retriever with a pheasant in an upland scene on the left, and grouse in flight in the timbers on the underside. The trigger guard is marked with a gold inlaid monogram
and the lower tang is marked “CROWN”. The watertable is signed “K. HURST” for Master Engraver Ken Hurst. The gun features double triggers and a tang mounted automatic safety switch with gold inlaid “S”. Nicely figured, multi-point checkered splinter forend with engraved fittings including the Anson button release and straight grip stock with teardrop carved flats and a checkered bare butt. Included is a second set of 27 1/8 inch barrels with matching serial number and gold “2” on the breech end of the rib, and a leather bound takedown case with Leland trade label. Barrel measurements set “2” (R/L): bore diameter nine inches from the breech both proved at 13.8 mm (.543 inches) and measured .541/.540 inches; choke constriction .001/.009 inches. Barrel and stock measurements set “1” (R/L): bore diameter nine inches from the breech both proved at 13.7 mm (.539 inches) and measured .539/.540 inches; choke constriction .005/.007 inches; 1 1/2 inch drop at comb; 2 1/16 inch drop at heel; 14 9/16 inch length of pull; weight 5 lbs 8 oz. CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 98% original blue finish, 99% original coin finish, and minor handling evidence. The wood is very fine with scattered light marks, slightly marred shoe to forend fit, and crisp checkering. The case is very good and the extra barrel set is excellent. The right lock plate protrudes slightly, otherwise mechanically excellent. Estimate: 5,000 - 8,000

Factory Engraved L. C. Smith/Hunter Arms 20 Gauge Eagle Grade Double Barrel Shotgun with Hunter One Trigger - Serial no. FWE39667, 20 gauge, 30 inch solid rib bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Dual white bead sights on the matted, concave solid rib which has a single gold band near the breech, “L. C. SMITH EAGLE GRADE” and “HUNTER ARMS CO. INC. M’F’R’S. FULTON. NY, U.S.A.” marked on the right and left barrels respectively, light engraving at the breech end, and 2 3/4 inch chambers with automatic ejectors. The casehardened sidelock action displays floral scroll engraving surrounding a pheasant in flight on the left, a mallard in flight on the right, and an eagle on the top lever. The gun
features a selective Hunter One trigger and a manual tang mounted safety switch. Lightly figured, multi-point checkered splinter forend with engraved fittings, rotary latch release, and ebony tip inlay and straight grip stock with serrated hard rubber buttplate. Stock measurements: 1 5/8 inch drop at comb; 2 1/2 inch drop at heel; 13 11/16 inch length of pull; weight 6 lbs 3 oz. CONDITION: Very good, retaining 90% original blue finish on the barrels and traces on the trigger guard, 60% case colors with the balance an attractive silver patina, scattered light spotting,
and mild handling evidence. The wood is also very good with some chipping around the inlets, hairline crack at the back of both lock plates and the left side of the forend at the shoe, numerous scratches, and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.

Factory Engraved Parker Brothers DH Grade Double Barrel Shotgun with Factory Letter - Serial no. 91020, 12 gauge, 30 inch solid rib bbl., blue/ casehardened finish, walnut stock. Blued Titanic Steel barrels with dual bead sights on the matted, concave solid rib, standard markings, 2 3/4 inch chambers with ejectors, and choke constrictions of .026/.031 inches. The
casehardened boxlock action features standard DH Grade engraving consisting of floral scroll work surrounding game scenes. The
game scenes depict a setter in a field on the right, a brood of pheasants in tall grass on the underside, and a pointer in a field on the left. Lightly figured, multi-point checkered splinter forend with engraved fittings and Deeley latch release. The stock is nicely figured with non-factory fleur-de-lis checkering and modification from a
capped pistol grip stock to straight grip, an illegible monogram in the inscription oval, and a Whippet recoil pad. The configuration is confirmed, with the exception of he modified stock, on page 306 of “Parker Gun Identification & Serialization” by Price and Fjestad. Included with the gun is a 1952 dated letter from the factory confirming
the grade, chamber length, and 1899 date of manufacture. Stock measurements: 1 3/8 inch drop at comb; 1 11/16 inch drop at heel; 14 1/2 inch length of pull; weight 7 lbs 8 oz. CONDITION: Very good, retaining 98% reapplied blue on the barrels, a silver patina on the action, applied silver plating to the trigger guard and lower tang with 40% plus remaining, and moderate handling evidence. The wood is also very good as modified, showing a few light scratches, insect damage on the forend, and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 1,800 - 2,750

Factory Engraved A. H. Fox Grade B Double Barrel Shotgun - Serial no. 22947, 12 gauge, 28 inch solid rib bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Dual bead sights on the matted, concave solid rib, barrels marked “KRUPP FLUID STEEL MADE BY” and “A. H. FOX GUN CO. PHILA. PA” on the right and left respectively, wedges of floral scroll at either breech, choke constrictions of .027/.035 inches (improved modified/full), and 2 3/4 inch chambers with single extractor. The casehardened boxlock action shows standard post 1912 Grade B engraving consisting of floral scrollwork, A. H.
Fox banners, and a pair of grouse on the underside. Nicely figured, multi-point checkered beavertail forend with Deeley style release and pistol grip stock with rubber
recoil pad. Stock measurements: 1 11/16 inch drop at comb; 3 1/4 inch drop at heel; 14 3/4 inch length of pull; weight 7 lbs 1 oz. CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 99% professionally reapplied blue finish on the barrels, smooth attractive silver patina on the action with some case colors in the protected areas, areas of scattered light spotting, and light handling evidence. The replacement wood is also very fine with a few minor marks and sharp checkering. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 1,100 - 1,400
