Commemorative Semi-Automatic
Pistol - Serial no. 48CT, 45 ACP cal., 5 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. Manufactured in 1968. This pistol features a battle scene engraved on the left side of the slide and “1917 WORLD WAR I COMMEMORATIVE 1967” in a banner on the right. The frame and slide both feature approximately 50% coverage floral scroll engraving. The engraving on this pistol was executed by A.A. White’s firm and is signed “JEH” on the grip frame. Includes a glass front commemorative case, shipping box, and box hand numbered to the gun.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original blue finish with limited handling marks, crisp grip checkering, and sharp engraving. Mechanically excellent. Case is also excellent with limited storage and handling marks overall.

Pistol Serial Number “CDE-2” - Serial no.
CDE-2, 10 mm cal., 5 inch round bbl., nickel
finish, plastic grips. Standard markings and unique features such as serial number with approximately “B” coverage factory floral scroll engraving.
CONDITION: Excellent, with 99% nickel limited handling marks and a small spot of oxidation near the
right grip. The custom replacement grips are
very fine with sanding marks and a few minor
dings. Mechanically excellent.

Deluxe Commemorative Semi-Automatic Pistol - Serial no. 139BW, 45 ACP cal., 5 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. Manufactured in 1968. This pistol features a battle scene engraved on the left side of the slide and “1917 WORLD WAR I COMMEMORATIVE 1967” in a ribbon. The slide and frame also feature approximately 50% coverage floral scroll engraving. All of the engraving was completed by A.A. White’s engraving firm. This pistol is signed “JEH” under the right grip panel. The pistol also features the serial number inlaid in gold. Includes a glass fronted commemorative case, box hand numbered to the gun, and shipping box.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original blue finish with limited handling marks and crisp engraving. Mechanically excellent. Case is also excellent with limited storage and handling marks.

LOT 1737
Exceptionally Scarce Colt Pony Semi- Automatic Pistol with Box - Serial no. CPA001040, 380 ACP cal., 3 1/4 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. Manufactured in the mid-1970s, this is one of only 47-57 Colt Pony pistols ever produced. The parts for these pistols were produced by Firearms International Corp. on leftover machinery from the Colt Cub project, with the parts being subsequently sent to Colt for finishing and assembly. Colt scrapped
the project early on and is said to have
retained 10 or 11 of the pistols for Colt
executives, returning the remainder to
F.I.C. for sale. The left side of the slide
is marked “COLT PONY/CALIBER .380
AUTOMATIC” followed by a Rampant Colt
and the right side is marked with the Colt
address, also with a Rampant Colt. Fitted
with blade and adjustable notch sights,
checkered grips with Colt medallions, and a lanyard ring stud on the butt. Includes original Colt “woodgrain” box.
CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 99% plus original blue with minimal handling marks and an attractive plum coloration on the frame. Grips are also excellent with sharp checkering. Mechanically excellent. Box is very good with storage and handling marks and wear on the corners. Provenance: The Dr. Robert Azar Collection.
