Extremely Fine Factory Engraved Colt Open Top Pocket Revolver -
Serial no. 71945, 22 RF cal., 2 3/8 inch round bbl., nickel finish, walnut grips. Manufactured in 1875. This example features a factory engraving with a nickel plated brass frame. Scroll and punch dot engraving is featured
on the sides of the frame, behind the hammer and on the barrel
at the breech. Simple dot motif engraving appears on the sides of the barrel lug, and geometric line engraving
is featured on the cylinder. The top of the barrel is stamped “COLT’S PT.F.A. MFG. CO/HARTFORD. CT.
U.S.A.” flanked by Maltese crosses, and the left side
of the frame is marked “22CAL”. The matching serial number is marked on the butt, barrel and inside of
the grips. Fitted with smooth walnut grips.
CONDITION: Very fine. The barrel, cylinder, and
hammer retain 90% original nickel finish with the balance a smooth dark patina where the finish has flaked. The frame retains 40% original nickel plating
with the exposed brass having an attractive untouched aged patina. The grips are excellent showing some minor high edge wear, with almost all of the varnish remaining. The engraving is crisp. Mechanically excellent. Provenance: The Milan J. Turk Collection.

Spectacular Colt Number One Single Shot Derringer - Serial no. 833, 41 RF cal., 2 1/2 inch teardrop bbl., nickel finish, metal grips. Produced circa 1870-1890. Blade front and hammer notch
rear sights, with the two line Hartford barrel address and “No1”, flanked by Maltese crosses, on top of the barrel, and crown “V” and
“GP” London proofs on the underside ahead of the serial number. Light scroll engraving on the barrel and frame, with checkered
hammer and trigger, and checkered oval panels on the grip area.
CONDITION: Excellent, with 95% plus of the untouched
original nickel finish, showing a few areas of flaking and mild handling marks overall. A gray patina is showing in the exposed
areas. Mechanically excellent. You seldom find Number One Colt Derringers in excellent condition like this exceptional example!

LOT 3246
Very Fine Colt House Model Revolver - Serial no. 9921, 41 RF cal., 2 5/8 inch round bbl., blue/bright finish, walnut grips. Colt’s five shot
“House Pistol” was part of the House Model line that debuted in 1871 and was one of Colt’s first two cartridge revolvers. Only 2,150
were produced in this configuration and manufactured circa 1874-1876. This example was produced near the end of
production. The final serial number is estimated to have been 9952 suggesting this revolver was produced in the final weeks of production. It has the standard markings and features including matching serial
numbers on the barrel, butt, and grips. CONDITION: Very fine. 85% of the bright original blue finish remains on the barrel and cylinder. There are some patches of oxidation and
gray patina on the balance. The hammer and cylinder pin retain strong niter blue and fire blue colors. The frame displays an attractive
aged patina. The grips are also very fine with limited minor scratches and dings. The action
functions fine, and the markings are crisp.

Desirable First Year Production Colt House Model Cloverleaf Revolver - Serial no. 1286, 41 RF cal., 3
inch round bbl., nickel finish, walnut grips. Manufactured in 1871, the first year of production. This four shot version is known as the “Cloverleaf” due to the shape of the cylinder when viewed from the front. Nickel plated finish with fire blue trigger and hammer. Pinched blade front and frame notch rear sights and fitted with smooth two piece walnut birds head grips. The top of the barrel is marked “COLT’S HOUSE PISTOL / HARTFORD CT.
U.S.A.” flanked by Maltese crosses and the serial number is marked on the butt and the bottom of the barrel. The revolver has a brass collection inventory tag marked “454” hanging from the ejector rod and is marked in gold paint “356” on the front strap and “197” on the back strap. Approximately 7,500 of the 10,000 House revolvers manufactured between 1871 and 1876 were in the Cloverleaf configuration.
CONDITION: Excellent. The revolver retains 98% of the original finish with loss limited to very minor flaking on the edge of the frame along the grip and around the left side plate. The hammer retains 90% plus original bright niter blue. The grips are also excellent with some very minor high edge wear and light handling marks. The markings are crisp and clear. Mechanically excellent.
