Very Scarce U.S.M.C. Colt Model
1905 Double Action Revolver - Serial no.
623, 38 Long Colt cal., 6 inch round bbl.,
blue finish, walnut grips. This revolver is one
of only 926 Colt Model 1905 Double Action Revolvers purchased
by the Marine Corps between 1905 and 1909. The Model 1905
Revolver was the first handgun manufactured specifically for the
Marine Corps. This revolver was a New Model Army and Navy revolver
with a modified grip frame and distinctive two-piece checkered walnut
grips with a rounded contour butt. The butt is marked with the serial number: “No./623” (10623) in front of the lanyard swivel and “U.S./M.C.” behind it. The top
of the barrel is marked with the two line Colt Hartford address and “AUG.5.1884 NOV.6.88. MAR.5.95” patent dates. The left side of the barrel is marked “COLT D.A. 38”, and the circled Rampant Colt is on the left rear of the frame above the grip. The
assembly number “138” is stamped on the inside of the grip, the crane and on the yoke. The revolver has no visible inspection or acceptance marks. The revolver has the high polish Colt blue finish on the barrel, cylinder and frame. The trigger and hammer top have a niter blue finish, and the sides of the hammer are polished. The ejector rod and lanyard swivel are casehardened. There is a small removable collection marking on the trigger guard.
CONDITION: Fine with 60% plus original high polish blue finish remains with areas of edge wear, some light spotting, small nicks and scratches throughout, and areas of gray/brown patina. The grips are also fine with well-defined checkering and small dings overall. Mechanically functions fine,
but is slightly out of time.

Navy Double Action Revolver with Holster and Factory Letter - Serial no. 96640,
38 Long Colt cal., 6 inch
round bbl., blue finish,
hard rubber grips. Manufactured in
1898 with standard markings and features including Navy number “N319” (scarce) and trident marking on the butt as well as assembly number “496” on various parts including the inside of each grip panel.
The included factory letter confirms the
current configuration as well as the “N319” government number and shipment to United States Government, 2nd Naval Battalion in Brooklyn, New York on 10 May 1898 in a 100 gun shipment. Includes a correct pattern canvas Mills Woven Cartridge Belt Co. holster featuring a naval style button.
CONDITION: Very fine overall, retains 85% plus bright original high polish blue finish with the balance thinning to a smooth grey patina and minor scratches/handling marks throughout. The grips are very fine with some minor dings and scratches, and crisp checkering overall. Mechanically excellent. The holster is very good with some mild verdigris and
wear on the metal.

Exceptional World War I U.S. Colt Model 1917
Army Double Action Revolver - Serial no. 104879, 45 ACP
cal., 5 1/2 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. This is an
excellent example of a WWI U.S. Colt Model 1917 revolver.
The top of the barrel is marked with the two line address/1884 to
1905 patent dates and the left side is marked “COLT D.A. 45” with
the Rampant Colt on the left side of the frame. The upper left side of
the frame ahead of the hammer is marked with an “eagle head/S18” inspection mark. The
butt is marked “”U.S./ARMY/MODEL/1917/No/104/879”. The frame and crane are marked
“258700”. Fitted with smooth walnut grips and lanyard swivel on the butt.
CONDITION: Excellent. The revolver retains 98% plus original blue finish with a couple
areas of minor spotting on the barrel and some light spotting on the cylinder. There is a faint drag line on the cylinder. The grips are also excellent with a couple tiny dings on the lower edges and overall light handling marks. The markings are sharp. Mechanically excellent.

Spectacular U.S. Colt Model 1909 Army Double Action
Revolver - Serial no. 35907, 45 Long Colt cal., 5 1/2 inch
round bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. Delivered between 28 May 1909
and 13 September 1911, the Model 1909 revolvers were almost entirely shipped to the Philippines. Blade front and notch rear sights with the two line Hartford address and patent dates (1884, 1900, 1905) on top of the barrel, “COLT D.A. 45” on the left side and “UNITED STATES PROPERTY” on the underside. The left side of the frame has the Rampant Colt trademark surrounded by a stylized “C”, with “R.A.C.” inspector initials and “F.B.” on the

right side. The butt is marked “U.S./ ARMY/ MODEL/ 1909” ahead of the lanyard loop and “No. 35907” behind it. Smooth two piece walnut grips with “R.A.C.” stamped on the bottoms.
CONDITION: Excellent. The revolver retains 95% plus of the bright original high polish finish with handling and storage marks. The barrel has areas of flaking on the top and left side and a ding on the left side towards the muzzle. The grips are very fine with handling and storage marks.
Mechanically excellent.

Antique Colt New Army &
Navy Double Action Revolver
with Holster - Serial no. 68803, 38 Long Colt cal., 6 inch
round bbl., blue finish, hard rubber grips. Per Colt, this revolver
was manufactured in 1896, but it retains the “COLT/Rampant
Colt/1892” emblem on the grips which have matching assembly
numbers. Thus, the revolver may have been manufacture prior
to the shift from the Model 1892 to the Model 1896 or during
a transitional period during which the factory used their
remaining “1892” grips. It has the standard markings and
features. Includes a leather flap holster with what appears
to be “abe/K87” or something similar marked
inside the flap.
CONDITION: Very fine with 85% plus of the original
high polish blue finish remaining, fading mainly on the grip straps and trigger guard, some minor edge wear, small spots of light oxidation, thin cylinder drag lines, and general minor wear. The grips are also very fine and have crisp checkering and markings and light age and storage related wear. Mechanically excellent. The holster is very good with moderate rub wear.
