Factory Game Scene Engraved Remington Model 12 D Peerless Grade Slide Action Rifle - Serial no. 284552, 22
S L LR cal., 24 inch octagon bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Manufactured from 1909 to 1936 with
standard Remington markings on the barrel and the Remington-U.M.C. trademark on the lower tang. The receiver is masterfully factory engraved with game scenes featuring rabbits on the left and a squirrel on the right, both of which are surrounded by floral scroll and border engraving which encompasses
nearly the entire receiver including the top and bottom, where the hand engraved
serial number is located. It is fitted with beaded blade front and elevation
adjustable notch rear sights and mounted with a grooved slide handle and
checkered pistol grip stock with hard rubber grip cap and a smooth, Remington-
U.M.C. marked, crescent buttplate.
CONDITION: Fine, retains 70% plus of the faded original blue finish with the balance having thinned to a smooth grey patina, primarily on edges, high spots, and the buttplate, with crisp engraving. The revarnished wood is also fine with some minor dings and scratches scattered throughout. Mechanically excellent. Provenance: The Milan J. Turk Collection.

Very Scarce Special Order Factory Engraved Deluxe Marlin Model 20A Slide Action Rifle - NSN, 22 S L LR cal., 24 inch octagon bbl., blue finish, fancy checkered walnut stock. Manufactured from 1907-1922, this unique Marlin Model 20A was special ordered in deluxe configuration with an extra length 24 inch barrel and factory engraving. Few of these model
20A rifles were produced in deluxe configuration and even fewer were factory engraved. The top flat of the barrel has the standard two-line address and patent
dates, caliber marking on the upper left at the breech, and British proofs on the upper right at the breech. The upper tang is marked with the model designation. The receiver is beautifully factory engraved in the No. 1 pattern with a stag scene on the left as well as flourishes of floral scroll and borders throughout. It is fitted with beaded blade front and elevation adjustable notch rear sights and mounted with a finely figured, multi-point
checkered slide handle and straight grip stock with a crescent buttplate. CONDITION: Very fine, retains 85% plus of the original blue finish with the balance having thinned to a smooth grey patina, primarily on edges, high spots, and grip areas, and the engraving is crisp. The wood is fine with some mild wear, scattered light handling marks, and some minor chips absent from the original varnish, most of which remains. Mechanically excellent. Provenance: The Milan J. Factory Engraved, Inscribed Savage Deluxe Style Model 1903 Slide Action Rifle - Serial no. 84534, 22 S L LR cal., 24 inch octagon bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Manufactured from 1903-1922 with standard Savage markings along with Gold Medal Grade style engraving featuring a setter and game birds on the left, pointer with game birds on the right, and the name “STUART CHADWICK” engraved on top. Fitted with beaded blade front (bead absent) and elevation adjustable notch rear sights. It is mounted with a finely figured, grooved slide handle and pistol grip stock with a crescent, Savage marked buttplate.
CONDITION: Fine, retains 98% of the period refinished blue finish with a few scattered light handling marks and the magazine showing a mix of brown and grey patina. The refinished wood is also very fine with a discreet splice in the pistol grip and otherwise very minimal handling marks. Mechanically excellent. Provenance: The Milan J. Turk Collection.
