Factory Engraved and Gold Inlaid Winchester Model 23 Classic Double Barrel Shotgun - Serial no. CL12-333E, 12 gauge, 26 inch vent rib bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Blued Winchester proof barrels with dual white bead sights on the raised ventilated rib, standard barrel legends, “12” on the rib at the breech, 3 inch chambers, chokes marked improved cylinder/modified, and ejectors. Blued action with light floral scroll engraving on the left and right with a circular panel scene on the bottom with
gold inlaid pheasant in a prairie surrounded by floral scrolls, engraved top lever, and automatic selective safety. Mounted on a nicely figured checkered
beavertail forearm and pistol grip stock with Deeley forend release with engraved fittings, steel pistol grip cap, and Winchester solid recoil pad. Collector serialized with the following three lots. Barrel and stock measurements: bores 9 inches from the breech .736/.736 inches; choked .009/.011 inches; minimum wall thickness .031/.030 inches. Weight 7lbs. 1oz.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original blue finish crisp engraving and a bright gold inlay. Stock and forearm are very fine with scattered light handling marks and crisp engraving. Mechanically excellent. Provenance: The Milan J. Turk Collection. Estimate: 2,500 - 3,500

top lever, and automatic selective safety. Mounted on a nicely figured checkered beavertail forearm and pistol grip stock with Deeley forend release with engraved fittings, steel pistol grip cap, blank initial oval and Winchester solid recoil pad.
