Exceptionally Fine Marlin Model 1894 Saddle Ring
Trapper Carbine with Desirable 16 Inch Barrel - Serial
no. 442849, 25-20 M cal., 16 inch round bbl., blue finish,
walnut stock. Manufactured between 1906 and 1935, the desirable
16 inch barrel is marked on top with the standard two-line address/patent

fitted with blade front and folding ladder rear sights, a saddle ring staple and saddle ring on the left of the receiver, and is mounted with a smooth forearm and straight grip stock with a crescent buttplate. Trapper carbines generally saw hard use as working guns and are rarely found in such excellent condition like this
example, which also has the very desirable 16 inch barrel that does not require ATF exemption.
CONDITION: Exceptionally fine, retains 90% plus of the original blue overall with the balance having thinned to mostly a smooth grey patina, primarily on the buttplate and edges. 50% of
the vibrant original case colors remain with the balance a smooth grey patina. The revarnished wood is fine with a few scattered minor dings. Mechanically excellent.
Provenance: The Milan J. Turk Collection.
