Revolver in Very Scarce
.45 ACP with Factory Letter - Serial no. 342079, 45 ACP
cal., 6 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. The included
factory letter confirms the current finish and caliber and lists
the barrel as 7 1/2 inches (likely a factory error as there is no
reason to believe this to be a replacement barrel) when it was shipped
to Murta Appleton Co. of Philadelphia, PA on May 23, 1939. The letter
also states that the revolver shipped with a square butt and a 3 lb trigger
pull. Knowledgeable collectors believe that about 3,500 of these Shooting
Master revolvers were built, of which, only 250 were chambered for 45 ACP.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 95% plus original blue, light
handling evidence, faint cylinder drag line, minor high edge wear, and sharp checkering on the grips. Mechanically excellent.

in 1937. Standard markings and features including matching
serial numbers on the crane and yoke.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 97% plus original blue finish, faint cylinder drag line, minor
handling evidence, and
sharp grip checkering.
Mechanically excellent.
B) Colt Officer’s Model Heavy Barrel Revolver - Serial no.
656615, 32 Colt cal., 6 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. Standard markings and features including matching serial
numbers on the crane and yoke.
CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 98% original blue with minor handling evidence, a few marks in the excellent grips, and sharp grip checkering. Mechanically excellent.

Police Positive Double Action Revolvers
-A) Colt Police Positive Target Revolver - Serial no. 31633, 22
LR cal., 6 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. Manufactured
in 1926. Pinned front sight, windage adjustable rear sight, and
matching serial numbers on the crane and yoke.
CONDITION: Excellent,
retaining 95% plus
original blue finish with a
noticeable cylinder drag
line, otherwise, minor handling evidence. The grips
are very fine with some edge wear at the right panel and sharp
checkering. Mechanically excellent.
B) Colt Police Positive Revolver - Serial no. 341327, 38
Colt New Police cal., 5 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut grips.
Manufactured in 1930. Standard markings and features including
matching serial numbers on the yoke and crane.
CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 98% original blue finish, light cylinder drag line, limited handling evidence, and sharp checkering on the grips. Mechanically excellent. Provenance: The Milan J. Turk Collection.

Documented Florida Shipped Nickel Plated Colt Banker’s Special
Model Double Action Revolver with Factory Letter - Serial no.
370082, 38 S&W cal., 2 inch round bbl., nickel finish, walnut grips.
According to the included factory letter this revolver was shipped in its current configuration to Frank T. Budge Company of Miami, Florida, on November 3,
1938. Frank T. Budge’s hardware store was the first in Miami and opened in 1896.
The left side of the barrel is marked “38 BANKERS/SPECIAL”, and the right side has the Colt address and patent dates. It is fitted with a pair of checkered walnut grips with silver Colt medallions.
CONDITION: Excellent. The revolver retains 98% of the original nickel plating with only a few minor nicks and slight scratches. The grips are also excellent with crisp checkering and slight handling marks. The markings are crisp. Mechanically excellent. These are hard to find in nickel let alone in such great condition.

Collector’s Lot of Two Colt Officer’s Model
Double Action Revolvers
-A) Colt Officer’s Model Heavy Barrel Target Revolver in Scarce
.32 Cal - Serial no. 642968, 32 cal., 6 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut grips.
Front blade and notch rear sights, both adjustable. Left side of barrel marked
“COLT/ OFFICERS/ MODEL 32/ +HEAVY BARREL+”, with two line patent and
address markings on the top. Fluted cylinder is 6-shot, with an unshrouded ejector
rod. The frame is flat topped, with the standard
Rampant Colt marking on the left near the
grips. Checkered walnut grips with Rampant
Colt medallions.
CONDITION: Excellent, 98% plus of the original finish remains. The
cylinder has slight drag line. Grips are also excellent. Mechanically excellent.
B) Colt Officer’s Model Special Revolver - Serial no. 62217, 22 LR cal., 6 inch
round bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. Approximately 8,000 of these revolvers were
produced in 22 caliber from 1949 to 1952. This revolver was manufactured in 1951 and
features an undercut and glare proofed front sight on a serrated ramp base, adjustable
rear “Coltmaster” sight. The left side of the heavy barrel is marked “OFFICERS MODEL
SPECIAL / .22 LONG RIFLE CTG.” and the right side with the one line Colt address. The trigger, hammer and
backstrap are serrated, the top and bottom of the frame, cylinder flutes and grip straps are a matte finish,
with the remainder being polished. Checkered grips with Colt medallions.
CONDITION: Excellent, 95% finish remains with wear on the muzzle and sharp edges. There are a few very minor scratches overall on the metal surfaces. There is a visible drag line on the cylinder and finish loss in the cylinder advance notches. The grips are very good with a few very minor pressure dents, the checkering shows light to moderate wear, with the checkering beginning to smooth at the bottoms. Mechanically excellent.

-A) Colt Police Positive Revolver - Serial no. 453403, 38 special cal., 4 inch
round bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. Manufactured in 1937. Standard makings and
features including the round blade and notch sights, serrated top strap, and matching
serial number on the crane and yoke.
CONDITION: Excellent retaining 97% original
blue finish, scattered minor spotting, minor
handling evidence, specks of rust on the
front gripstrap, and sharp grip checkering.
Mechanically excellent.
B) Colt Police Positive Target Revolver - Serial no. 44626, 22 LR cal., 6 inch
round bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. Manufactured in 1940. Standard markings
and features including pinned blade front sight, windage adjustable rear sight, and
matching serial numbers on the crane and yoke.
CONDITION: Very fine overall, retaining 90% plus original blue, scattered light spotting,
some marring at the left of the rear sight, some edge wear on the grips, and sharp grip checkering.
Mechanically excellent.
