First Year Production Three Digit Serial Number 209 Marlin Model 39-A Lever Action Rifle - Serial no. 209, 22 S L LR cal., 24 inch round bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1939. This rifle features beaded blade front and elevation adjustable rear sights, standard barrel markings, casehardened receiver with the three digit serial number on the lower tang, and smooth walnut forearm and pistol grip buttstock.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 97% original blue finish and 90% vivid original case colors with a few small specks of oxidation on the barrel, a spot of dark pitting on the magazine tube, scattered light handling marks. LOT 3052 Marlin Model 1892 Lever Action Rifle - Serial no. C6890, 32 cal., 24 inch octagon bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. German silver blade front, elevation adjustable rear and peep tang sight, standard Marlin markings, and plain walnut forend and straight grip buttstock. CONDITION: Extremely fine, retaining 85% plus original blue finish with limited handling, some muzzle wear, and crazing in the forend and stock varnish on the very
fine wood. Mechanically excellent.

  LOT 3053 Excellent Marlin Model 1936 Lever Action Rifle - Serial no. B7815, 32 HPS cal., 20 inch round bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1941. This rifle features beaded blade front and elevation adjustable rear sights. The barrel features the standard Marlin legend on the left side under the rear sight and caliber marking on the top behind the
rear sight at the breech. The casehardened long tang receiver is marked “MARLIN SAFETY” on the top. Mounted with a smooth carbine forend and pistol grip stock with hard rubber buttplate.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 98% plus original blue finish and 95% vivid original case colors with some silvering out on the lever. Wood is also excellent with a few minor pressure dents. Mechanically excellent.

LOT 3054 Marlin Model 1897 Lever Action Rifle - Serial no. 430856, 22 S L LR cal., 24 inch round bbl., blue/ casehardened finish, walnut stock. Manufactured 1897-1917 with standard markings. Fitted with beaded blade front and elevation adjustable notch rear sights. Mounted with replacement smooth “perch belly” forearm and straight grip stock with a lightly
engraved and serrated trapdoor buttplate (stock not drilled for trapdoor compartment). CONDITION: Very good as modified, retains 70% of the original blue finish and 80% of the original case
colors with the balance having thinned to mostly a smooth grey patina and a few scattered patches of light pitting. The replacement wood shows filler around the edges to facilitate a tighter fit with the gun but
otherwise minimal handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
