 LOT 3110 Exceptionally Fine Rare Prototype Marlin Single Shot Lever Action Rifle - NSN, 30 cal., 23 inch heavy round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. This prototype rifle is built off a 336 size action. Unlike a normal Model 336, this rifle is a single shot and does not feature a magazine, instead having a lip machined into the receiver for a .30-30 cartridge to sit on before the bolt pushes it into the chamber. The receiver top tang bears no model marking, and the lower tang is not marked with a serial number. Fixed to the receiver is a Williams peep sight. This rifle features a 23 inch heavy barrel with ramped hooded beaded blade front sight and “JM” proof on the right side at the receiver and what appears to be “1898” on top.. The rifle is fitted with a flat bottom multipoint checkered forend affixed by a single screw which goes through the front into the receiver and a multipoint checkered, beautifully figured walnut buttstock with a plastic Marlin buttplate. CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 97% plus blue finish with limited handling marks, a spot of cold blue touch up on the bottom of the receiver, and a dull blue finish to the barrel with both markings softened. Wood is excellent with limited handling marks and crisp checkering. The action locks up on occasion when actuating the lever otherwise, mechanically fine. Marlin Model 39 Lever Action Rifle -
Serial no. 19361, 22 S L LR cal., 24 inch round bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Manufactured 1922-1938. Features beaded blade front sight and elevation adjustable notch rear sights on the octagon barrel with two line Marlin Firearms Corporation legend and caliber marking at the frame on the top left barrel flat. Casehardened takedown receiver with “Marlin/MOD. 39” marking on upper tang. Fitted with a plain walnut forend and pistol grip buttstock.
CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 85% original blue finish and 75% case colors with a smooth gray brown patina on the balance, scattered minor handling marks,
and freckles of light pitting on the left side. Wood is fine with scattered minor dings and scratches and a hairline age crack on the left side of the forearm. Mechanically excellent.

LOT 3112 Scarce Marlin Model 410 Lever Action Shotgun - Serial no. 6960, 410 gauge, 26 inch round bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Manufactured between 1929 and 1932, a unique venture for the Marlin Company, this lever action shotgun is based on the Model 1893 action with a longer loading port, modified tube magazine that holds 5 shots and a smoothbore barrel chambered for the .410 shot shell with modified choke. Unmarked barrel with a single bead front sight and “Marlin/410” marked on the upper tang. Mounted with a smooth finger groove forearm and pistol grip stock with a checkered Marlin buttplate. Length of pull: 13 1/2 inches. CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 85% original blue on the barrel and receiver with handling marks, a few small spots of oxidation, and dents around the bottom receiver screw. The hammer and lever retain 40% original muted case colors with a dark gray patina on the balance. The wood is fine with most of the original varnish and scattered dings and dents. Custom Eric Johnson Marlin- Ballard Action Falling Block Single Shot Target Rifle with Scope - Serial no. 18216, 22 cal., 28 inch heavy round bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Originally manufactured by
Marlin Firearms, this rifle has subsequently been masterfully reworked by noted 19th century gunsmith Eric Johnson. The action is marked “J.M. MARLIN. NEW HAVEN. CONN. U.S.A./BALLARD’S. PATENT. NOV. 5. 1861.” on the left side of the casehardened frame which is partially covered by a peep sight mount and drilled holes for a tang peep sight mount. The frame has been fitted with one of Johnson’s heavy target barrels and
is marked “#596 7/9/’46” beneath the forearm with a front sight mounting block at the muzzle, drilled and tapped holes for mounting a scope block and a scope rail section near
the breech holding a Leupold VARI-X III 6.5x20 scope. Mounted on a walnut beavertail forearm with hand stop and shadowline Swiss cheek piece stock with blued serrated buttplate.
CONDITION: Very fine as professionally custom rebarreled and stocked. Retaining 99% plus custom refinished blue finish and case colors. The wood is fine with a hairline crack on the left side of the wrist and
a few minor handling marks. Mechanically excellent. Scope is very fine with limited handling mark as well as clear optics and a crisp reticle. Provenance: The Milan J. Turk Collection. Estimate: 2,000 - 3,000
LOT 3114 Marlin Model 1892 Lever Action Rifle - Serial no. 414790, 22 LR cal., 26 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. German silver blade front, elevation adjustable rear and peep tang sight (one screw on base), standard Marlin markings, and plain walnut forend and straight grain buttstock. CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 80% blue finish with scattered light handling marks and 30% case colors with thinning to brown on the balance. Wood is fine with scattered dings and scratches a repaired crack at the toe. Mechanically excellent.

CONDITION: Fine overall, retaining 70% original blue finish with thinning to brown on the balance, handling marks, and scattered dings and scratches on the forend and buttstock.
