|Description||This is a mid-1939 production German Luger pistol as manufactured by the Mauser factory with the "S/42" toggle markings. It has standard Mauser factory and German Army acceptance and firing proofs on all the various parts. The top of the chamber area is dated 1939 and the front toggle is marked "S/42". These Lugers all featured the late production deep salt blued finish with checkered walnut grips. It is correctly serial numbed in the military fashion with the full serial number on the front of the frame the left side of the barrel extension and the underside of the barrel with all the remaining parts having the last two digits of the serial number. As noted it also has one original unmarked blued magazine body with the correctly matching aluminum base, marked with "3775n/Eagle 63". It is complete with an original 1939 dated brown leather holster that is marked on the back, "C. WEISS/BRAUNSCHWEIG/Eagle WaA750/1939" with an original WWII Mauser takedown tool. The backside of the tool has the small "Eagle/655 waffenamt" proof.
|Condition||Excellent with 99% of the original blued finish with barely noticeable high spot holster wear. The grips are also in excellent condition with nice sharp checkering on both sides, with only a few minor dings. The holster is also in excellent condition with nice tight stitching overall with only minor scuffing and finish loss on the very edges of the flap and the lower section of the magazine pouch. An exceptional, all original example of a World War II Nazi 1939 Luger rig.|
