|Extraordinary and Rare WWII Nazi High Honor "Political Leaders" PPK, Leather Holster Shoulder Strap, Belt and Belt Buckle Rig|
|Description||This is truly an exceptionally rare, all original and unissued, WWII Nazi NSDAP "Political Leaders" leather holster/belt rig for a Walther PPK pistol. The Political Leader Walther PPK and PP pistols are some of the most desirable and highly sought after weapons of WWII. The only members of the Nazi party that were authorized to wear a Honor Pistol were members of the National Socialists Party (NSDAP) who held high leadership positions and or displayed or performed their duties to the highest standards of the Party. These weapons were personally given by Hitler in a national ceremony and as part of that ceremony, the recipient would have also been given one of these ultra rare "Political Leader" leather holster and belt rigs. These holster/belt rigs immediately alerted everyone, that the wearer, was a senior Nazi party member held in the highest esteem of the Fuhrer. Since the pistols were issued in very limited numbers it stands to reason that these holster/belt rigs are even rarer since they are manufactured from a perishable material and in most cases were immediately discarded or destroyed at the end of the war to help evade capture. Consequently they are one the most difficult WWII accoutrements to obtain, with or without a pistol in them. As noted this example is truly in exceptional/unissued condition. The entire rig (PPK holster, shoulder straps and belt) are all made from a high-grade, light brown, smooth calfskin leather material. The front flap of the holster is adorned with a single gold colored, aluminum National Party Eagle/Swastika badge. The back of the holster is fitted with two, gold colored, aluminum attaching clasps, which are connected to a one-piece, gold colored, aluminum double-loop hanger. This hanger is then connected to the 1 3/8 inch wide, leather shoulder strap. The hanger has the NSDAP National Party Eagle symbol on each side with a stippled-pebble grain background with a pair of oak leaves in the center. The holster and shoulder strap are unmarked, however the double-loop hanger is marked on the back with a single very small, circled "RZM M 5/8". The tip, belt buckle and metal belt loops on the shoulder strap are exactly like a double hanger, which is a gold colored, aluminum material with pebble-grain/stippled finish. The leather belt is approximately 2 3/8 inches wide X 50 inches long, that has an original WWII, gold-colored, aluminum "NSDAP" belt buckle of the National Socialist Party. The back of the leather belt is correctly ink stamped at an angle, in several places with the large "RZM/68" approval stamp. The reason that this ink stamp is at an angle is that the calfskin material was approved and stamped in full sheets, then after it was approved for use, it was cut up and sewn into the belt configuration. The back of the NSDAP belt buckle is also marked (cast) with a larger intertwined circular "RZM M4/87" markings. This complete holster, shoulder strap and belt rig are accompanied by a copy of a reprint of the Political Leaders Of the NSDAP booklet. Inside this booklet is listed the equipment and requirements for the ownership of these highly sought after political leaders pistols and holster rigs and on page 49 this same exact type of rig is shown.
|Condition||Exceptional original condition, with little or no handling marks, anywhere on the entire rig. The only noticeable marks or minor wear is on one lower shoulder strap area, which amounts to only some slight wrinkling of the leather strap where it attaches to the holster. All the various metal clasps, belt buckles and hangers all show 99% plus of their gold colored finish with only minor wear on the edges in a couple of spots. As noted the holster is so new that the soft leather covers that are glued on over the metal studs/hangers on the inside of the holster are still intact and show no oiling or handling marks anywhere. A phenomenal example of a super rare WWII Nazi NSDAP Political Leaders, holster, belt, and shoulder strap rig. Certainly a one of a kind rig in this superb condition.|
