DescriptionAngelo Bee was one of Winchester's outside engravers. His style focuses on hunting scenes with intricate background images. He uses yellow, rose, and white gold along with platinum to give the scenes dimension and really bring them to life. Manufactured in 1948, this magnificent Model 12 shotgun features a wedge of scroll engraving on each side of the muzzle and breech ends of the barrel as well as a thin gold inlaid band around the muzzle. The "MOD" and the Winchester proofs on the barrel and frame are also gold inlaid. The receiver features floral scroll engraving with a punch dot background and gold inlaid wire bordering. In the center of each side of the receiver are game scenes with a gold inlaid fox, rabbit and two quail in a field scene on the left side and three gold inlaid grouse on the right side. The scenes have gold inlaid wire bordering them and they have silver backgrounds. The left side is signed "ABEE" along with the signature is a small bee in silver. The same engraving pattern is present on the trigger guard with gold wire border. The serial number on the frame and take down ring as well as the arrow are all gold. There are double ivory bead sights on the matte vent rib, chambered 2-3/4 inches and choked modified. Jeweled follower and bolt. Mounted with extra fancy high gloss walnut forearm and pistol grip stock with Fleur De Lis checkering, a Winchester grip cap and black plastic checkered Winchester buttplate.
