DescriptionThis example has beautifully executed game scenes engraved on both sides and on the underside. The left side is engraved with a dog pointing at a grouse taking flight (similar to Perazzi engraving number 19 with a different breed of dog). The left side is engraved with two dogs pointing at a grouse taking flight (Perazzi engraving number 122). The underside is engraved with a dog holding a dead grouse in its mouth (Perazzi engraving number 140). Most of the remaining surfaces of the receiver have floral scroll engraving with extensive floral scroll engraving also on the break lever, trigger guard and forearm hardware. The lower tang is signed "Bottega C. Giovanelli Inc. Zatti". The barrels have a white bead front sight, a nickel middle bead sight, are threaded for factory choke tubes with two 4's installed (modified), have 2 3/4 inch chambers with long forcing cones and ejectors. Both bores are stamped "13.9" and the date stamp is "BL" for 1998. The detachable trigger group is numbered to the gun and has an external selector switch. Mounted on a beautifully figured, multi-point checkered Turkish Walnut forearm and pistol grip stock with factory recoil pad. Comes with the original Negrini takedown hardcase, spare parts kit (2 firing pins with springs, two hammer springs and hammer spring tool), an extra set of firing pins with springs, an extra set of hammer springs, 2 snap caps, 6 extra choke tubes (0,0,2,6,8,10), choke wrench, stock wrench and owner's manual. 2 3/4 inch chambers, bore diameter: O- .536 U- .536, length of pull: 14 1/2 inches, drop at comb: 1 3/8 inches, drop at heel: 2 1/4 inches, weight: 7lbs 13oz.

ConditionExcellent, the blue components retaining 99% of the original blue finish with only a few minor handling/storage marks. The coin finished components remain bright with only a few minute marks. The wood is also excellent with some scattered minor scratches and dings. Mechanically excellent.

Shipping

SHIPPING CHARGES. All shipping charges must be paid by the successful bidder prior to delivery of the firearm. If Rock Island Auction (RIAC) is asked to ship the purchased lots, there will be a separate charge for such shipping. Shipping charges will be based upon what it costs RIAC to ship the purchased lots to the purchaser. All items must have shipping insurance; this insurance is mandatory. RIAC will not charge any labor charges for shipping. RIAC is not liable for any acts of omissions in packaging or shipping. Purchased lots handled by outside carriers or packers, including those RIAC may have recommended, may carry their own insurance and any claims for losses or damages should be addressed directly to the outside carriers or packers. RIAC will arrange for packing and shipping at RIAC’s earliest possible convenience. RIAC will attempt to ship as soon as possible; however, due to RIAC’s high volume of absentee bids, shipping can take up to two weeks after full payment is received. In the case of crating or any exceptional packaging, the purchaser will be charged RIAC’s cost from outside agents. Purchaser pays shipping, packing materials, and insurance charges. The shipping of any purchased items outside of the United States is hereby classified as “foreign export”. All foreign export is the sole responsibility of the purchaser.
