Third model, with the integral dust cover rail, manufactured in 1893. It features a Marble No.2 front sight and a folding ladder rear sight Standard two line address and caliber markings on the upper barrel flat. One line model marking on upper tang, serial number marked on lower, and "38 CAL" on the brass elevator. Full length tubular magazine. Plain straight grip stock and forearm, crescent steel butt plate with cleaning rod compartment, and iron forearm cap.

Good, with 50% of the original blue finish on the receiver, 40% on the barrel with the remainder a mottled brown and gray patina and showing some light handling marks, spotting, and a number of scratches on the left side of the receiver. The stock is good as repaired and refinished, with a number of light scratches, minor pressure dents, one or two heavier dents, and some varnish loss. The action is excellent.
