OD - VERY GOOD- all original parts; none to 30% original finish; original metal surfaces smooth with all edges sharp; clear lettering, numerals and design on metal; wood slightly scratched or bruised.

Description:

The lock is dated "1810" and marked "CANTON" vertically behind the hammer and marked with an eagle over "US" in an oval over "T.FRENCH". The left side breech of the barrel is marked "P V" and there is an unreadable cartouche on the left side stock flat. Bayonet lug on the bottom of the barrel and three barrel bands with the front sight on the front band. Crack in the stock just behind the lock, wood has been varnished and here is some heavy rust on the buttplate.
