Manufactured in 1895, this rifle has been rechambered to improved 25-20 and is now equipped with loose coupled double set triggers and a B.W. King front blade sight with a brass bead. The top barrel flat behind the rear sight has been marked "IMP." indicating the re-chambering. The rifle has the standard two by barrel marking, " MANUFACTURED BY THE / WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO. NEW HAVEN. CONN. U.S.A.", caliber designation at the breech, "MODEL 1892 / WINCHESTER / PAT. OCT. 14, 1884." on the upper tang and the serial number on the bottom of the receiver. The rear sight is an adjustable semi buckhorn sporting sight. It is fitted with a smooth forearm and straight grip stock with an iron end cap and buttplate.

Very good. The barrel retains approximately 60% of the original thinning finish, the magazine has a smooth grayish mottled patina, the buttplate has been refinished and retains most of the blue finish, the receiver retains traces of the original blue finish with the remaining areas having a smooth brownish patina and the lever has a smooth grayish patina. The wood has been refinished and remains very good with overall scattered minor dents, dings and scratches. Markings are clear. The action is fine.
