The receiver is marked "MADE IN YUGOSLAVIA" and the barrel is marked "CAL 22-250 HERTER'S INC MODEL J9". Barrel manufactured without sights, there are scope blocks mounted on the receiver. Hinged floorplate and one piece smooth pistol grip stock with a raised comb and Herter's quick release sling swivels.

Early Steyn 22 LR sporting rifle, folding leaf rear sights and equipped with a Weaver J4 scope on a Weaver 22 tip Off mount. Checkered Mannlicher pistol grip stock with a cheek piece and sling swivels. The stock has been sanded and revarnished, checkering is smooth. Metal refinished and covered with a coat of protective varnish.

The top of the barrel is marked "22 x36 Ho", the left side of the receiver is marked with the model, Czech arms symbol, (third and last) and two line factory marking. Ramp front sight, rear sight removed and equipped with a Weaver K-4 60B scope on Parker Hale mounts. Detachable magazine and one piece checkered pistol grip stock with sling swivels.
