OC - FINE- all original parts; over 30% original finish, sharp lettering, numerals and design on metal and wood; minor marks in wood.

Manufactured in 1902. It features a pinned German silver blade front sight and an adjustable carbine rear sight. Two line address and patent date is marked on the top of the barrel. The top of the barrel at the breech is stamped "38-55 W.C.F." and it has a full length magazine tube. The upper receiver tang is stamped "MODEL 1894/ -WINCHESTER-/ TRADE MARK" in three lines. The replacement saddle ring is fitted into the stud at the rear left side of the receiver. The forearm is held on by a single barrel band and it has a straight grip carbine style buttstock with a carbine buttplate.

Good. The finish on the barrel has toned to a smooth brownish patina and shows a few minor nicks and dings. The magazine has been reblued and shows some minor wear on the underside near the forearm where the finish is thinning slightly. The finish on the receiver has also began to tone to a smooth gray and brownish/gray patina in areas with some bright edge wear and a few tiny scratches. The wood has been replaced with little wear apparent.
