Manufactured in 1899. Fixed front sight with adjustable rear carbine sight. The top of the barrel has the standard two line address reading "WINCHESTER'S-REPEATING-ARMS.NEW HAVEN.CT. / KING'S-IMPROVEMENT- PATENTED-MARCH 29. 1866. OCTOBER 16. 1860." Model designated on the upper tang and serial number on the lower. Saddle ring mounted on the left side of the receiver with staple. Third model with integral dust cover rail. Smooth forearm held on by a single barrel band and straight grip stock with a steel carbine buttplate.

Fair as refinished. All metal surfaces have a mottled brown patina. High points are bright with scattered surfaces scratches and dings. The wood is also fair as repaired and refinished, with pressure dents and scratches mixed with a few heavier bruises. Mechanically good.
