NPRF - NON-PROFESSIONALLY REFINISHED/COLD BLUE, ETC.

Manufactured in 1914 with a half octagon barrel and equipped with a button magazine. Fitted with a blade front sight with nickel bead and a semi-buckhorn rear sight, and two line address and patent markings on the left barrel flat along with the caliber and nickel steel markings. Standard later three line model and patent markings on the upper tang, and the left side of the receiver is drilled and tapped for sight mounting. Checkered forearm and pistol grip stock with iron forearm tip, hard rubber gripcap, and Winchester recoil pad with spacer, having a pull of 13 inches.

Good as refinished, with 80% of the current finish. The barrel has a few small areas of gray patina, and the receiver has a light brown and gray patina intermingled with blue, along with some notches on the upper tang and minor handling marks overall. The lever and forearm tip have a gray, mottled patina. The stock is good as refinished, with a few pressure dents, signs of sanding and recheckering on the wrist, and some minor chips and scratches. The trigger spring needs work, but otherwise the action is excellent.
