PRF - PROFESSIONALLY REFINISHED OR RESTORED

Produced in 1909, and equipped with a number of special order features. Marbles-Sheard dovetail blade front sight with two leaf folding rear sight. Part octagon barrel with standard two line Winchester address on top, the "NICKEL STEEL" marking on the upper left flat, several "W" stamps on the upper right flat, and half length takedown magazine tube. The Model 94 was the first rifle Winchester produced for smokeless powder. Upper tang marked "MODEL 1894/ -WINCHESTER-/ TRADE MARK REG. IN U.S.PAT.OFF." Smooth straight grip stock with slight tiger stripe pattern on the butt, metal forearm tip, and a smooth crescent butt. The blue on the barrel has been touched up.

Very good as refinished, with 65% of the current blue finish on the barrel. A mottled brown patina is forming on the receiver, along with some high edge wear and light handling marks. The stock is good, with some mild pressure dents, scratches, varnish loss, and a few darker areas. The action is excellent.
