Originally manufactured in 1916, this rifle has the clip guides removed, leaving the slot and screw holes. The Russian proofmarks and the Russian rear sight remain, but the stock and barrel have been modified a new front sight installed and a swivel eye added to the new forearm and chambered for the 7.62 cartridge. The left of the barrel and top of the receiver ring are marked "7.62 mm". Good. The barrel retains approximately 75% of the original thinning finish with some light spotting and minor pitting on the barrel 40% blue and some smooth brown patina on the receiver.
