Springfield barrel, dated "4-53", with blade front and adjustable aperture rear sights. Standard markings with white fill on the rear of the receiver, with "PB" marked windage knob and hammer, Springfield bolt, trigger housing and operating rod. Smooth straight grip stock, marked "X" on the underside of the grip and "8357" on the right side of the buttstock, with a checkered steel trapdoor buttplate.

Assembled, with 90% of the current finish. A bright gray patina is visible along the high edges an on top of the bolt, with some light handling marks and a black finish on the gas tube and front sight. Stock is fine, with a scratch on the right side of the forearm, chipping on the grip and scattered dents. Mechanically excellent.

WW - WOOD IS WORSE FOR THE PERCENT FINISH RATING GIVEN

Mid-WW II M1 Garand with a Springfield barrel dated "2-44", with blade front and aperture rear sights. Standard receiver markings, with "DRC" windage knob, Springfield bolt, hammer, safety, trigger housing and modified WW II operating rod. Smooth pistol grip stock, with no visible markings, sling swivels, and a checkered trapdoor buttplate.

Very good, with 95% of the G. I. re-parkerized finish, showing wearalong the high edges, a brown patina on the front sight. Wood is good having been sanded and reoiled with a few pressure dents, with some minor scattered cracking on the left side near the receiver. Mechanically fine.
