A) Marlin No.32 Standard 1875 Revolver

OB - EXCELLENT- all original parts; over 80% original finish; sharp lettering, numerals and design on metal; unmarred wood.

Description:

Manufactured from 1875 to 1887. The rib is marked with the one line model designation and the one line New Haven address/patent marking is on the left barrel side. Blade front and frame notch sights, 5-round long fluted cylinder and checkered bird head grips with "M.F.A.Co" at the tops.

Rating Definition:

Excellent with approximately 95% of the original nickel finish remaining with some light flaking and some minor frost. The grips are excellent with some age discoloration on the butt. The checkering is sharp.

Description:

Manufactured between 1887 to 1899. The rib is marked with the two line New haven address/patent dates. Blade and notch sights, 6-round fluted cylinder, casehardened hammer and trigger, and checkered grips with diamond patterns around the screw and sunbursts at the tops over "M.F.A.Co.". Nickel finish with blued trigger guard.

Rating Definition:

Excellent with approximately 95% of the original nickel finish remaining with some minor to moderate flaking that is mostly concentrated on the cylinder flutes. There is some minor frost overall. The trigger guard retains approximately 97% of the original blue finish. There is some roughness on the butt, otherwise the grips are very fine with some minor handling marks. The checkering is sharp. The markings are clear.

NPRF - NON-PROFESSIONALLY REFINISHED/COLD BLUE, ETC.

Description:

Manufactured from 1872 to 1887. The rib is marked with the one line model designation and the two line New Haven address marking is on the left side of the octagon barrel. Spur trigger, fixed sights, 5-round non-fluted cylinder and smooth bird head grips. The barrel and cylinder appear to have been blue at one time and the frame has a nickel finish.

Rating Definition:

Very good as refinished with a smooth dark patina on the barrel and cylinder. The frame retains approximately 98% of the current nickel finish with some light flaking and a few minor dings. The grips are very good with some moderate varnish flaking and some minor dings and scratches.
