OE - GOOD - some minor replacement parts; metal smoothly rusted or lightly pitted in places, cleaned; principal lettering, numerals and design on metal legible; lightly scratched, bruised or minor cracks repaired; in good working order.

Manufactured in 1894. Standard markings and features with a German silver blade front sight with bead and sporting type rear sight. Metal surfaces have been cleaned bright and are beginning to age again. Lightly sanded and refinished wood with a 4" long piece missing from the forearm.

OD - VERY GOOD- all original parts; none to 30% original finish; original metal surfaces smooth with all edges sharp; clear lettering, numerals and design on metal; wood slightly scratched or bruised.

Manufactured in 1890. Barrel has been shortened to current length (likely had a 28" long barrel). Third Model with the distinctive integral dust cover rail machined to the top of the receiver, standard markings and blade front and buckhorn type rear sights. Stock and forearm have some chips with "BG" and "DH" carved on buttstock. There is some pin point pitting and some minor scratches. The forearm has a repair, a couple minor cracks and a 2" long sliver missing. Hammer does not hold at the half cock position, otherwise action functions.
