OD - VERY GOOD- all original parts; none to 30% original finish; original metal surfaces smooth with all edges sharp; clear lettering, numerals and design on metal; wood slightly scratched or bruised.

Description:

Heavy octagon barrel with fixed breech plug, with silver inlaid designs on both sides of stock with a silver patchbox on the right side. Two letters "MG" are engraved/cut into the top of barrel. Complete with wooden ram rod. Unusual brass under rib on the barrel. Action is tight. Small wood repair at the front of the lock.

Description:

Consignor states that this gun is a hand-made Laotian Tribesman snaphunce style flintlock musket that was with Special Forces bringing it back from the Vietnam war. The lock mechanism and barrel are crudely made and exhibit the limited metal working skills of the tribesman. Mounted on a pistol grip half stock - scarce piece.
