Blade and ladder sights, "B" on the left side of the barrel at the breech, no other markings. Smooth stock with sling swivels, large "X"s on the left buttstock and a faint signature on the wrist.

Blade front and Buffington Rifle rear sights, with a pair of tapped holes on the upper part of the wrist for a tang sight. Standard markings on the low arch breechblock and lock plate. Smooth stock, with a metal hand rest on the lower wrist and "US" on the buttplate.
