Manufactured in 1900. The back strap is marked "No 44 C.P.D.". The accompanying factory letter verifies the barrel length, nickel finish and that it was shipped to W. Bingham Co., Cleveland, Ohio on July 14, 1900. The letter also states "There is no mention of the company stamping the markings, but the records indicate that 24 units were in this order and that they were for the Cleveland Police Department."
