OB - EXCELLENT- all original parts; over 80% original finish; sharp lettering, numerals and design on metal; unmarred wood.

PRF - PROFESSIONALLY REFINISHED OR RESTORED

Description:

Manufactured in 1881. "C" coverage floral scroll and punch dot engraving with a geometric design on the front sight and wolfs head on the hammer. The left side of the front strap is signed "KIES" under the grip. Comes with a factory letter stating this revolver was shipped to Hibbard, Spencer, Bartlett Company on September 2, 1881 with a nickel finish. There is also a letter dated January 1996 signed by Master Engraver Dennis A. Kies on his letterhead stating that he engraved the revolver while employed at Colt in American scroll designs and signed under the grip.
