Only 3,810 of these rifles were manufatured from 1883-1885 and is the only lever action firearm manufactured by Colt. The top barrel flat has the two line Colt address/patent dates, lever is marked "BURGESS'S PATENTS" and frame has the Rampant Colt on the left side. A sought after Colt rifle manufactured for a very short time.
