Description:

1) Japanese sword, 38 3/4" overall with a 27" blade, wavy temper line, copper finished brass collar, 4-lobed brass tsuba, leather wrapped grip and red and black lacquer finished saya with tachi-style hangers. Shortened, with two mekugi-ana. Good overall. 2) Japanese sword, 31" overall with a 21" blade, straight temper line, checkerboard pattern copper collar, round iron tsuba with gold accents and raised wagon wheel designs, black cord wrap over gold accented fu-dog menuki, and a brown leather wrapped saya. Signed with 7 symbols on each side of the tang ("Bizen Tatsumitsu", according to consignor). Blade very good as professionally shortened, fittings fair.
