PRF - PROFESSIONALLY REFINISHED OR RESTORED

Manufactured in 1863. Marked "HENRY'S PATENT OCT. 16, 1860/MANUFACT'D BY THE NEWHAVEN ARMS CO. NEWHAVEN CT." on the top barrel flat, partially covered by the repositioned rear ladder sight and the serial number is marked on the top flat at the breech behind the original filled rear sight dovetail. Blade front sight. The rifle has the distinctive brass receiver and buttplate, and octagon barrel with integral 15-shot magazine. The barrel/magazine had a blue finish, the hammer and loading lever casehardened. There is a sling loop on the left side of the barrel and a sling swivel on the left side of the stock. Mounted with a smooth oil finished walnut stock with a brass buttplate with compartment (cleaning rod not included).
