Description:

1) Large axe with a control/maker's stamp resembling a tree. 41 1/2" curved wooden haft. Good with extensive moderate pitting. Haft is very loose. 2) Axe with three maker's stamps resembling a smiley face and two etched words (illegible) and a multitude of asterisks stamped around the outside edge of the blade. Mounted on a 34 1/2" wooden haft. Very good with some minor pitting and an artificial patina. 3) Facing axe with 4 control/maker stamps (mostly illegible). Fitted with a 28 1/2" wooden haft. Good as cleaned with scattered minor pitting, some moderate pitting and a 2" crack. 4) Hand axe/hammer with keyhole shaped piercing and control/maker stamps. Appears to be 16th Century. 18" long wooden haft. Good with scratches, discoloration, pitting and chipped edges. Haft is loose.
