Description:

1) Cast bronze parade style shield. The background has a floral scroll pattern with animals and weapons intertwined. The face of Pan is repoussed at the center and there are 6 circles around him with busts of men. There are also 6 "spokes" radiating from the center showing bust's of men and women on pedestals. Very good with some high edge wear and dents. 2) Bronze parade style shield. Depicts a battle scene with a castle on the left side, a town in the background and a winged warrior flying above the field of battle. There is a band around the outer edge showing a panoply of arms. Very good with a dark patina and some scattered dings. 3) Decoratively etched steel shield showing someone feeding a small dragon in the center. There are circles and ovals showing soldiers and the remainder has a floral scroll design. There is a leather strap riveted to the backside. Good, there is minor pitting and discoloration overall along with some dents. 4) Sturdy steel shield with flutes radiating from the central riveted boss. There are also 4 riveted floral bosses that connect the 2 leather straps on the backside to the shield. The outside edge is rolled and roped. There is a small accession number "1947.317" marked on the backside. Very good with some scattered minor pitting and an artificial patina. There is some paint splatters on the backside.
