A wartime revision of the Model 1935, with the design refined for greater ease of manufacture. Originally finished in a dark green, a three-color tan, brown and green camouflage paint job applied, with care taken to preserve a silver and black SS shield decal on the right side of the helmet. The underside of the brim is faintly marked "Er66" and "56 5" and tan leather webbing. Helmet is good. A number of honest scuffs and scratches are present on the exterior, with a few areas of brown spotting. Some discoloration is visible on the decal. The chinstrap is absent and the cord slightly frayed, otherwise the webbing is good.
