Dresden soft paste porcelain depiction of "Rape of Europa". This classic story of the founding of Europe depicts a female nude strapped onto a bull that is being defended by her male nude companion. The Dresden porcelain mark is located under the blue hard paste porcelain base. This sculpture was done in the classic Greek style of Caesar's reign as Emperor. Nice centerpiece porcelain for the table or mantel. Dimensions: Length 19 3/4" x Height 10 1/4" x Width 6". Blue porcelain base Height 1 3/4" x Length 12 1/2" x Width 9". Weight 18 lbs.
