The factory letter indicates this revolver was shipped chambered for .45 Colt with a blue finish, unspecified barrel length, and unspecified grips to N. Curry & Brothers in San Francisco on July 23, 1881, as part of a shipment of fifteen guns of the same type. The holster was made by Main & Winchester (San Francisco 1850 - 1905).
