Description:

Lot consists of three wooden ammunition crates and one box. The two smaller crates are unsealed with open tins inside containing both partial and full bandoliers of 30 caliber rifle ammunition (appears to be 30-06 based on the markings on the crates). The larger crate is sealed and labeled for the Model 1903 rifle and lists the caliber as "CAL 30 MODEL 1906". One crate still has a legible post tag from the Savanna, Illinois Ordnance Depot and says that it was sent to the Manchester Post Rifle Club of Manchester, Iowa. Smaller box contains ten full and one partial box of what appears to the 30-40 Krag ammunition. Crates are poor and some of the ammo is showing signs of corrosion. Boxed Krag ammo is good with some signs of corrosion as well.
