Both knives show evidence of differential tempering along the edges, as well as the Hawes maker's marks on the left side of the blade. Both are excellent with light handling marks. 1) Hawes Damascus bowie, 13 1/4" overall with an 8 3/8" blade, file-decorated ricasso, brass oval guard, and a pair of fancy burl wood grips secured to the full length tang with mosaic pins. 2) Hawes drop point knife, 9 7/8" overall, 4 7/8" blade with file-decorated spine, alloy guard, and a one-piece stag grip with leather washers and mosaic pin butt accent.
