The poster matches identified original reward posters first put out by Governor Wallace of New Mexico in December 1880 and then placed in the papers again in May of 1881. It is 11 3/4" wide and 9" tall and has a seal of the Royal Indemnity Corporation on the bottom left. There is a 3" x 2 1/8" card marked "Customs Service/Office of the Collector/PATRICK F. GARRETT/EL PASO TEXAS" in the frame just below. The frame is 16 1/2" x 17".
